Butterick: 8226
Size: 16/34
Printed: No
Circa: 30's
Original Price: 25¢
Envelope Condition: Poor

This "Butterick" pattern is probably from 1939. The original price was 25¢. It is a size 16/34. Evening gown!!! Okay, it is supposed to be a slip, but look at that plunging back and the deep "V" front, the long slinkly lines! Perfect for an evening gown. Then envelope front and back have been taped to a paper bag. The pattern is nice though.
PT30-11 Price: $20.00 New

Butterick: 8172
Size: 36 bust
Printed: Yes
Circa: 30's
Original Price: 25¢
Envelope Condition: Good

This "Companion/Butterick" pattern is probably from the 30's. The original price was 25¢. It is a size 36 bust. APRONS! Three of them! And each one cuter than the last. Full coverage, unusal styling.."A" has side panel inserts for a taylored fit. "B" has princess lines, pockets and a "jumper" effect. "C", the most unusal of all, has bolero styling. The back actually hangs loose like a bolero jacket would. I think these would be a fashion statement worn over slim fit pants and a simple tee shirt. Envelope has taped repairs and pieces #1 & #4, front of "A" and side/back of "B" are torn but usable. Other than that, I don't think this pattern has been used. The instructions include directions for the embroidery stitches.

The sides come around to the side back and button with the straps. The other top (B-1 & B-2) is more like a sleeveless shell. Both styles join the pants at natural waist. The darling fitted jacket may be sleevless or have short sleeves. The envelope is actually has no color to it. You are seeing a copy of it that I colored to show all the detail.
