One was from a bowsie/wowsie barkcloth floral from the 40's. Another I made in hot pink (see how the inside lining froms petals) with lime green petals. Too, too cute! Mail Order?????: 4852
Size: 16/38
Printed: Yes
Circa: 60's
Original Price:
Envelope Condition: Excellent

This a "Mail Order?????" pattern, a size 16/38, and I have no clue as to the date! If any of you know please tell me. The side drape looks like the 40's..the wrap style looks a bit like the 70's..the hair style is pretty timeless but has a bit of a 60's look..I just dont know. I do know that this is a great dress! What do we love??? Wrap dresses!! What else do we love?? Side drape skirts. This pattern has both. The drop shoulders form cap sleeves, gathers on the shoulder for bust fullness. May also (see small inset) have long sleeves. I think long or 3/4 sleeves actually balance the drape of the skirt better. This is an uncut/unused pattern.

This "Vogue" pattern is dated 1960. The original price was $1.50. It is a size 12 32 bust 34 hip. For a basically simple dress this is very clever! Look at all the options. You could cover most occasions and just change the options and no one would ever realize it was the same dress. Perfect for cruise wear/travel. View "D" is shown with the over blouse..wear it to the office, remove the over blouse, which is lightly gathered to a band, and off the the party. View "B" shows a back drape cowl which is bias cut. In view "C" the long scarf is held on by ribbons and then falls free. This is an uncut/unused pattern.
