This "Simplicity" pattern is from 1947. The original price was 25¢. It is a size 18 1/2 37 bust. Day or evening length slip..or as we like to call them..sundress or evening gown! Notice the figure moulding lines, the entire front is cut in one peice(thus causing the princess lines). The bodice sides and back are attached at the waist. The back of the bodice forms a point that ends just below the natural waist. This creats a smooth flow over the hips and eliminats that little ripple of fabric that so often occurs in form fitting dress.

This "McCall's" pattern is probably from the 40's. The original price was 45¢. It is a size 14/32. Simply Elegant! One piece evening dress. Slightly dropped waist forms a center point over flat front panel (very slenderizing, very flattering) and fullness is from gathers at sides and back. Width at hem is approx. 5 3/8 yards.

This "New York" pattern is probably from the 40's. The original price was 20¢. It is a size 10 28/31. Playsuit, bare midriff top & shorts. Top has button front and extended shoulders that form short sleeves, square neckline. The shorts are full and sassy in true 40's style, pleats are front and back. This is a very small size but it is very easy to enlarge this. The envelope is torn is a couple of places but the pattern is excellent. I don't think it has been used.

This "Simplicity" pattern is dated 1947. The original price was 25¢. It is a size 18 1/2 37 bust. Play suit and skirt---Front button bodice has gathers @shoulder for soft fullness. Sleeves fold to form cuffs. Shorts have side closure, front and back pleats. The skirt has seams at each side of center front. This is an uncut/unused pattern is a hard to find larger size.

This "Marian Martin" pattern is probably from the 40's. It is a size 13, 31 bust 26 waist. Shorts, skirt, top and dress.... Skirt is gathered on waist band. Shorts have darts that release fullness. Midriff top has button front, with or without ruffle, sleeveless or short sleeves. Dress details much the same as skirt and top. Very 40's, very cute! This 12 piece pattern appears to be unused. There are two small tears on the instruction sheet.

This "McCall's" pattern isdated 1948. The original price was 65¢. It is a size 12/30. Shorts and bare midriff top...top hasstraps, button back, and is fitted. The kicky little shorts have front pleats,fitted in back side pockets.

This "Butterick" pattern is probably from 1948 or 49. The original price was 75¢. It is a size 12/30. Wedding gown or evening gown...this is breath taking! Fitted bodice with drop yoke, button back, sculptured midriff. A most unusual back detail in the skirt, a winged drapery sweeps backward on the full, eight gore skirt and flows into a train! The small inset (click on picture to enlarge) shows the evening gown version. The envelope is tattered and the patterns has some wrinkles but is complete and very usable.

This "Simplicity" pattern is from 1941. The original price was 15¢. It is a size 12. Evening dress....bodice is dart fitted, square neckline both fornt and back. long, full four gore skirt. Envelope is getting a bit worn but the pattern appears unused.

This "Hollywood" pattern is probably from the 30's, could be 40's. The original price was 15¢. It is a size 38 bust 41 hip. Robe/coat..wrap style in two lengths. Raglan sleeves with or without cuffs, shawl collar is optional. If you are a fan of the old movies of the 30's or 40's you've seen a coat or robe like this. Probably in silk or satin. Picture the collarless version (on the right) done in velvet as an evening or opera coat...or in tweed or woolen fabric as a day coat. Great sizing, appears unused, excellent choice for collectors.

This "Hollywood" pattern is probably from the 30's. It is a size 20, 38 bust, 41 hip. I listed it under 40's because I think that the pattern number is a number Hollywood used in the early 40's. Dorothy Jordan is the star featured on the front and her prime was early 30's. You decide! Bias cut gown..what can I say...just look at it! It is slinky, it's sexy..it is bias cut.. it is totally "KILLER"! Look at the small inset picture. Without the lace trim you have a "to die for" evening gown. This pattern appers to be unused. Hard to find larger size. Great one for collectors.

This "Butterick" pattern is probably from 1948. The original price was 25¢. It is a size 14/32. Wrap dress--The envelope is a bit ratty but the pattern is nice and the dress is really cute. It has scollops rippling from neck to waist. Scollops are repeated on pocket and cap sleeves. "B" shows short sleeves. The full flared skirt is cut in four pieces.

This "Advance" pattern is from 1940. The original price was 15¢. It is a size 16 34bust 37 hip. Playsuit and skirt. Full flirty shorts have pleats front and back that are stitched flat to hip line. Play suit has buttons and skirt follows suit to button to hem line. Perfect for shopping, tennis, swing dancing or just for fun. Patterns pieces for shoulder pads are missin. (no one uses those anyway!). Several pieces have tears from use and folding but are quite usable.

This "Mail Order, Country Gentleman", pattern is probably from the 40's. It is a size 20/38. Slip, sun dress, formal... Dart fitted bodice shaped fitted midriff section and bias cut. That all adds up to a slinky dress. The pattern has a "shorten/lengthen" line and should be easy to adjust to floor length. This pattern is "mint", unused and collection worthy.

This "Vogue" pattern is a 1999 re-release of an original 1947 design. This is NOT an old pattern, only an old design. It has modern sizing. The original price was $25.00. It is a size 10. It is uncut/unused. Ladies special occasion dress in day or evening length. Shaped bodice with front tucks. Notice view "B" where the inset is show in a texture different from the body fabric.

This pattern is in excelent condition and complete with the exception of piece #4 which is a tiny little rectangular piece called a "stay". It is to reinforce the neckline and very simple to reproduce.
